Conscious festivals are the ones that stay with you long after the last note fades. Not just the music โ though the music is incredible โ but the conversations at 3am under the stars, the morning yoga in a field of strangers-turned-friends, the art installations that crack something open inside you. Here is our guide to the best of them in 2026.
Lightning in a Bottle โ Bradley, California
The godfather of the conscious festival movement. Set on a lakeside in the Central Valley of California, LiB has been running since 2006 and keeps getting better. Expect world-class electronic and live music across 10+ stages, the famous Lightning Village (healing arts, yoga, workshops), and a crowd ranging from first-timers to 15-year veterans who come back every year.
The lake at sunrise, with soundsystems you can still faintly hear in the distance, is one of the most beautiful sensory experiences in festival life.
Dates: Late May (Memorial Day weekend) | From: $380 | Tip: Buy early bird in January โ prices jump significantly after.
Symbiosis Gathering โ California
Smaller than LiB, more intimate, consistently stunning. Symbiosis rotates locations โ past editions have been at Woodward Reservoir and Pyramid Lake. The programming balance of underground electronic music with genuine healing arts (sound baths, plant medicine ceremonies, ecstatic dance) is excellent. The crowd is tight-knit and production quality punches well above the ticket price.
Dates: October | From: $250
Envision Festival โ Uvita, Costa Rica
Jungle, ocean, yoga, surf and bass music on the Punta Uvita beach. Envision happens in February and draws 4,000 people from around the world to one of Costa Rica most beautiful corners. The integration of the natural environment is total โ you can walk from a set on the main stage to swim in the Pacific in four minutes.
Dates: February | From: $320
Ozora Festival โ Dadpuszta, Hungary
The world capital of psychedelic trance. Ozora runs for 7 days every August and draws 35,000 people to the Hungarian countryside. The main dancefloor โ the Temple โ is legendary. The art installations are extraordinary. The sunrise sets are religious experiences.
Dates: August | From: 180 EUR (7-day)
Shambhala Music Festival โ British Columbia, Canada
Deep in the mountains of BC on a private ranch, Shambhala is one of North America most beloved underground electronic festivals. Eight unique stages, every bass genre imaginable, mountain river swimming, and a harm-reduction approach that genuinely cares about attendee wellbeing. No corporate sponsors โ ever. Running since 1997 on the same land.
Dates: August | From: CAD $450

- Bring one outfit you can dance in all night and one warm layer for 3am
- Connect with people during the day โ conversations over breakfast can be as transformative as any set
- Bring foam earplugs for long dance sessions โ protect your hearing and you can stay on the dancefloor much longer
- Leave your phone in your tent for at least one evening. Presence is the entire point.
